This Cookie Policy explains which cookies cynthara.business uses, why, and how you can control them. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They help a site remember things, like a choice you made, or tell the owner how the site is being used.
2. Two kinds of cookies we use
Essential cookies. These are needed for the site to work properly or to remember your choices. We set them without asking, because the site cannot respect your cookie choice without them. We use one essential cookie, listed below.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand which pages people visit and how they find us, so we can improve the site. We use Google Analytics for this, and only after you click "Accept." If you do not accept, Google Analytics does not load and these cookies are not set.
We do not use cookies to sell your information or to show you advertising.
3. Cookies on cynthara.business
| Cookie | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
cyn_consent |
Essential | Stores your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every visit | 12 months |
_ga |
Analytics | Google Analytics: helps tell one visitor from another | 13 months |
_ga_* |
Analytics | Google Analytics: keeps track of your visit (the full name has an ID after the underscore) | 13 months |
4. How consent works
The first time you visit, you will see a banner asking whether to accept analytics cookies.
- Accept: we load Google Analytics and set the analytics cookies above.
- Decline: we use essential cookies only. Nothing from Google Analytics is loaded.
We save your answer in the cyn_consent cookie for 12 months, then ask again.
5. How to change your choice
You can change your mind at any time:
- Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page and choose again. If you switch analytics off, we stop loading Google Analytics and no new analytics cookies are set. Cookies already in your browser may stay until they expire or you delete them.
- Delete cookies in your browser settings. This removes both kinds, and we will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
- Block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the site from remembering your choice.
You can also install Google's browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all websites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6. Third parties
Google sets the _ga cookies when analytics is on, and it handles the data under its own privacy policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we share information with service providers.
7. Clients' websites
This policy covers cynthara.business only. The websites we build for clients are run by those businesses, and each client is responsible for its own cookie and privacy notices. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data on a client's behalf.
8. Changes
If we add or change cookies, we will update the table above and the date at the top of this page. If a new cookie needs your consent, we will ask for it.
